I often run out of words midway through a series. Now I am pressed for time, and finding it especially difficult to be witty and informative.

So, for the next couple of weeks, please enjoy art without my words

As you probably know, these posts are prepared ahead of time and then scheduled to show up one a day. By my time, starting in a few days, I will be off-line for four weeks. In addition to the packing and other trip preparations, I am frantically trying to queue up a month's worth of pictures.

By your time, if you are reading this on the publish date, I should be halfway through the vacation.

I do not like stating the obvious. So I won't say that this uses a brown palette, or that it looks like my dried up and dying front lawn. But please feel free to write such things or to ask questions in the comments.

The comments section is a big part of the Wordpress code base, and is woefully underused here.

I am still in an experimental stage. Just trying things to see what works. I am posting the results of the successful experiments.

There is no overall story. I tried to sort these by related features, similar colors, similar density, etc. Some of that sorting effort remains, but mostly the sorting was a failure. The order presented here is mostly the order that I finished the pieces.

As with the previous set, there are plenty of variables to play with. The brush size, thickness, direction, colors, coverage.
