There is more to the Proteus series. For now, I am continuing with a small run of variations on a theme. I kept working the idea because it stayed interesting, and these felt too alive to leave unpublished.
A grid stretched across shifting ground, like a city mapped by a slightly mad urban planner — everything trying to stay orderly while the landscape keeps changing its mind.
The surface folds inward until it becomes a sphere — the distortion now self‑contained.
The sphere reads as both containment and explosion, holding tension between collapse and release.
