I rescued the previous two mainly because I likes the yellow / gold palette. It does not make sense then that the next thing I did was change to colors. But I did. Up next are two new ones with similar shape and more colors.

Here are two from the Metallic Flow series. They did not make the cut the first time around. I really like the color scheme, so I am adding them to the current collection.

Next up are a couple that were experiments with texture. I do not know where they fit in the chronology.

The last time I made a major program change moving from .Net4 to .Net6.

That was a significant change. It was a breaking change, it came with no backward compatibility, and no automated tools to port code to the new version.

I think this was an early experiment designed to test the new software. I was in programmer mode then, not artist mode. I thought it was good enough to save and publish later.

Here is another one I set aside with the intention to develop a series around it.

This came from around time of Workshop 202306. After some evolution this led to Strange Zone II and the rest of the Zone series.

The next two were queue for the Strange Architecture series. Apparently they were forgotten. So, better late than never.

Here are two more, mostly based on the same palette as yesterday's post.

The blue/brown/gray palette appears often on this site. Here is a new one derived from a piece in the "maybe-someday" pile. The original was very sparse with fewer floating objects.

I like to incorporate jaggy, wavy lines. This one is new. I started with a left over piece from the experimental, series Workshop 202306.

This piece is circa the Curve Textures series. I set it aside because the series already had a similar image.

The first two pieces in the Janus series feature a sparse set of shapes on a backlit background. This one of several ideas that I never got around to extending further.

Janus

Janus is usually depicted with two heads looking in two different directions. Often symbolizing the past and the future.

I am working on a new generative art program. The project has occupied most of my free time for the last six months and will continue to do so for the next six.

I have a lot of good stuff, not yet published from my previous program. In some cases, pieces that need just a little bit of tweaking, and in other cases one-off or a couple of related pieces that I want to develop into a series.

So I am looking in two directions. Most of my creative energy is going to into writing the new program. Also I am trying to take care of unfinished business from the old one.

(And yes, I realize Janus belongs to a different mythological universe than the previous gods that I invoked.)
