This one, and the next few have less brown, they are mostly gray with blue accent. As with the previous Fuzzy Zone #9, the reduced colors and fuzzy texture create a softer mood.

If I used a lot of color and sharper boundaries (as I often do), this would be very energetic and chaotic.

This one is very busy. But the restrained use of color, along with the fuzziness, reduces the noise. The larger blue/brown/gray shapes draws one in. Then you start to notice and seek out the details hidden in the fuzz.

I liked them, but they did not fit with what I was working on at the time because of the fuzziness. They serve as the initial seeds for this series.

The Fuzzy Zone

I am staying with the hard to describe, and always evolving, zone shapes. Let's enter the Fuzzy Zone. In the other zone sets, the shapes had definite, often outlined, edges. Those sharp boundaries are gone now.

The "Fuzzy" criterion does not have a definite definition. It is not a sharp, nor a smooth blended color, transition between shapes. It may appear as similar to painting on fabric, an out of focus view, spray paint, painting on a non-uniform rough surface, or shaky brush strokes.

"Similar to", but not exactly like any of those things.
